Our Story

WE LOVE WHAT MILWAUKEE HAS TO OFFER

From the music venues to the restaurants, down to the unique DNA of every neighborhood:
THE PEOPLE. THIS IS WHAT MAKES MILWAUKEE HOME.

I moved back to Milwaukee in 2010, after 5 years in one of America’s largest, most well-known cities. Returning, I realized that Milwaukee has evolved into a more vital, creative, energetic, youthful community. There’s a pride and a chic cache that comes with saying “I live in Milwaukee.” You find it as you walk around and see people with tattoos of the skyline on their arm, or wearing t-shirts of favorite local businesses. People even embrace the Allen-Bradley clock tower, calling it the Polish moon. Milwaukee is my home, and I love it here. So I created a one off, a hoodie designed for a Christmas gift . When my friend wore it, people approached him, asking where he got it. They loved it, and they wanted it. So I decided to start making more to see what would happen.

The Community was really the ones that helped spread the word. They wore it, they shared it and they loved it. That is why I call it, "A BRAND BUILT BY THE COMMUNITY." It is because of you and the people of Milwaukee, that MilwaukeeHome is what it is today.

OUR MISSION

"I love the hearts of the individuals that wear, represent and support Milwaukee Home; such a simple name says so much. There is so much to love about this city and the people who share that love know why it's home. I am proud to wear Milwaukee Home apparel, sip coffee from my mug and frame their poster on my wall. Milwaukee will always be my home."

"I feel MilwaukeeHome is a relatable and connects emotionally to people who have lived in Milwaukee all their life, those new to the city, and those looking in from the outside. With rejuveanted interest in cities nation wide, the timing is right to organize large key players and launch a campaign that provides a unified message."

"MilwaukeeHome calls out to those from Milwaukee as well as all those who are in search of a place to call home, rather than a generic city that only means a job to them. People are now choosing cities as a place to live now more than in any other recent generation. The swing has swung back and cities are cool. MilwaukeeHome can help to represent that. Not just a place to work or play...but also home."
